Confuzzled if I should go the low level way and learn more about software architecture and foundation or go the artificial intelligence machine learning way because I want to get out of this infinite loop of only developing apps!

If I spent the last 20 years developing, say, a relational database engine on github and someone would refer to it as an app, I would punch them in their faces.

If you'd like to switch, go for AI, machine learning etc. I'm currently into it, and it's awesome.

I started saying "web app" a long time ago to avoid people saying, "it's just a website", and expecting to get it fast or free. App conveys difficulty or advancedness to non-developers.

I would call it an app
