    Lots of programmers have acquired this great taste for music, very nice.

    Heavy metal music is what keeps me going during long coding sessions.

    @Letmecode @Ashkin it's some stereotype thing

    I'm even going to a metal concert today...

    so we are supposed to write code listening to Justin Bieber? dafuq is wrong with this world ...

    I mean, maybe we have to listen to this generic happy ukulele music, that plays in the background of every fucking advertisement for "quick and easy online coding lessons". 🎸

    heavy metal is very common in environments with high stress on psychological level without the possibility to release said stress physically

    @vadimir There are obviously differences there. Metal music gives me positive energy making me work faster and brings me into a good mood. If I get stressed up too much, I prefer silence so I can focus.

    I have the same but then with another genre (hardstyle/rawstyle). This appearantly isn't a programmers' genre. Also the fact that I always wear suits doesn't qualify as being a rawstyle lover for some fucking reason!

    @stormwise its as i said. its helps you to release stress therefore makes you calm and gives you the ability to focus on the subject

    @vadimir anything that blocks the noise of humans will help with stress

    @vadimir I assume we talk about different types of stress. There is positive and negative stress, and I talk about the latter. For me, metal does not calm me down at all, so when I get stressed up, I need silence to focus. Then, when I am no longer in distress, I can once again turn on some german power metal to regain some positive energy. :-)
