Any former sysadmins here?
I am one for the past 4 years but I had enough. I really want to switch to the developer world. Currently self-learning in my free time. I already know java, python and javascript.
Any advices?

    I am still a sys admin as well as a developer , I’m MS based though I learned VB way back in school in 98 VB4/5 and just picked up new stuff along the way

    Specialise into a field you like. Knowing one language or field very well will get you further than knowing 10 a bit

    I don't like dealing with end users and angry managers. I love technology, not people.

    I am not dealing with end users at all, that is what our first line is for.

    Also, our boss is on our side, we have good communication and share the same goals
