Hello again devRanters! This is linuxxx again. A quick update regarding the privacy site!

Right now we're up to the following:

Ewpratten
- Converting what we have right now on frontend to Bootstrap.
- Working on a page with a description as to what this is going to be exactly.

linuxxx (me)
- Converted the static stuff we used before to a simple MVC based PHP web application.
- Created a DB scheme for the custom CMS I am going to write for this.
- Starting to work on the custom CMS right now!

We'll update as soon as we've got a well working description/introduction page :)

We won't be creating rants every day/new tiny feature/change or anything but as this is our first productive night, it seemed like a nice idea to update what we already got done/started on :).

Stay tuned!

If you do want updates on every little thing we do, let me know... Jk I am way to lazy to do that.

    @ewpratten Yah me too :P

@itsnameless You're most welcome! I'll mention you when we get a description page into the air!

I'm ready for a frustrating night of HTML:-P

Woo! Excuse me senpai, I have a bit of experience on the frontend (and some backend experience mainly java/spring) is there some way a non-devRant god such as myself would be able to contribute? I prefer Foundation over Bootstrap but am willing to work with just about anything it is you may need.

@ewpratten I can lighten the load!..haha for real though if you guys would like a hand, I am more than willing to assist. I heard @linuxxx mention developing a security site and instantly got rawk-hard at the thought so let me know.

@KidLaser The main thing right now is that I don't want to pick anyone over another. On the main rant I've gotten quite some help offering requests and for now we'll probably stick to just me and @ewpratten. But, I think that some help regarding frontend testing (layouts and so on) would be appreciated once we're in the air!
And once we are in the air, we'd really appreciate content/layout/frontend feedback/tips!

@linuxxx furshur senpai, anything for you. Just keep us in the loop and if you ever do find yourself needing a hand with any programming tasks just ask, I shit you not I am a swiss-army knife of skills haha 😂 Good luck you guys!

@itsnameless @KidLaser Ohh in case that comment fell wrong, I certainly think so as well! It's just that we're a small team right now and we're not ready for expansion yet ourselves :)
  • 2
@KidLaser Appreciate the understanding and we will deffo keep you in the loop!

@ewpratten Sometimes it can be useful to take advice from more experienced devs 😜

@linuxxx ❤❤ thank you again for making this site. I'm excited for it. Don't know enough to help make it, but I'll definitely let you know what I've learned from it

I learned html and CDs with script the hard way, when I was a kid I had an old power PC mac and found out it had a built in server, so I started making static web pages and showed my family, that impressed them so I started learning more, I remember getting so excited with tables as it let me format my page into sections lol, then when I hit script man my world exploded, before I knew it I was creating full on sites for my family and friends that were better then some of the big ones back then, and even to this day I still think going about web design from pure scratch is still the best way to keep a clean and fast website. Never used a framework in my life other then one time for a video player (duck codacs man)

    Why not not use Wordpress?

Just joking! Don't crucify me for it!!
Anyway... I am interested and can't wait to see the end-product!

@ewpratten A horrible HTML night because you are using bootstrap right?
If there is a design Im willing to make it without bootstrap.
  • 0
@ewpratten because bootstrap has the annoying way of styling.

Bootstrap is more like inline styling then people would like to agree on.
