Do you people know that problem, where you sit down and code for 20 minutes, and suddenly it's 4 hours later?

All the time. It's pretty nice to work at night without any disruptions.

    I work 9-5
If I manage to find 20 minutes of undisturbed coding time something is wrong 😞

And I thought it was just me ...

    One of my favorite problems.

@trubesv yes I should have used quotes.

@devrocket I couldn't get the work done while I was at the office. But last night didn't go-to sleep and finished one of the task which I was struggling with. That was a relief.

@m3talpri3st I've been there. I've got a 9-5 but sometimes I'll spend a late night figuring out a bad bug.

Like when you start coding after your lunch break, then suddenly your wife calls "it's 5PM, do you want a ride home?"

I've ranted about this before yes xD

    > implying it is a problem
(at least unless you had something important to do)

    That's a feature of programming, not a problem :)

all the time buddy, all the time (when there's coffee and silence)

@fikrimi oh that peaceful, wonderful silence, when it's only you and your project. I love it!

This is how we time travel

Yeah, but still better to stuck on coding rather than stuck on what to fill for your database for hours.

Last night learning nodejs. I got home & started at 7pm, when I finally look at the clock its 3am & I have to be back to work in 3 hours.

    I'm dying...

@softban push through the day with energy drinks, and then go to bed super early (as soon as you can) and sleep at least 10 hours. This is how I sometimes do it, when I missed a lot of sleep one night

@heikomat caffeine gives me the shits. It's distracting

All too much, I have been trying to shake off a light Diet Coke addition when coding myself, so far fruit smoothies seem great, Still gives the sugar but way healthier

That happens to me a lot while procriating... Specially while doing reruns of my favorite series....
Started to watch GOT from the start like a few days ago and I'm already on season 7...
Of course that a few days ago was a month ago lol

That's why starting a new job is the best. Everyone leaves you alone because they either dont know you or know you dont know anything.

The first 2 weeks are magical - you can code (or try and understand your new environment) with no interruptions
