@Schlarman Well if you have an old android phone on wifi somewhere you can setup smartpanel, paypal, and digital ocean where one droplet would be free.

sinisas3237yIf you have good speed at your home, setup a PC with Linux, and add A record to your domain name IP address of your home.
If your IP is dynamic, there are services that can update A record dynamically as your IP changes. They provide software that you install on your home PC that will ping their service every 5min to recheck IP address change. I recall a name something like DNSExit, or something similar, been years since I used it.
This way you can have all you need at your own home. Very useful for having your own mailbox, git server, blog, etc.
That is, if it is for some personal use... -
eybro5267yYou could make some friend of yours that is not into programming sign up for github student pack and give you their digital ocean access ;)

@sinisas I Could, but i cause enough havoc on my home network already. I am not gonna bother with hosting one from home.

Npstr6577yScaleway is scalebae. They have occasionally slow network speeds but that's OK for the price.

@Linux Last time I pinged devrant.io during downtime of the social network (website was up), I've seen a connection to a Vultr server.
Got locked out of my DigitalOcean account, absolutly hate OVH vps's, and currently relying on free credit with Google Cloud Services.
Anyone have better ideas? 😂
