n0ah4057yI personaly use ubuntu gnome with some plugins. Regarding the update next month i would wait and see how it goes, because they switch from unity to gnome, witch could go pretty wrong :-)

I have everything ~5% transparent by default, and terminals 25%+ transparent.
What about the rest?
Window placement via hotkeys, window deforms/animations, window/desktop transition effects, text anti aliasing/rendering, color correction, tinting, gloss, ...

So upon thorough consideration, I've decided to switch to Linux. I had to use an old laptop which took 2 minutes to get to the desktop with Windows, so I did what every other person would do and installed Linux on it (Ubuntu 17). Although it was incomparable with my dev mashine, it was snappy enough for me and for my web development tools and needs. (git, vscode, slack and chrome)
Cutting to the point, I've heard that thebl next Ubuntu is coming out next month. Should I wait and switch to that or can you guys recommend something better, perhaps Mint or sth else?
