gitblame9118yI understand testing is only a part-time role for our support staff and they have no real training in it because we are small and on a budget. But I would like to have proper QA training for them at least. And some understanding that bugs will happen and are normal and it is not a drama when they find them because that is their job now. Also not devolve into dramatic doom thinking things will not be finished by release. Because that is normal to some extent and we will just have to roll with it. -
Our testers are great. They tell us where the issue is and how we can reproduce it. They also check if it's possible to find a workaround around the issue so it's easier for the devs to locate the bug..
I wish some of our devs would be as qualified as our QA.

Two unit tests, no integration tests.
Oops!
Seriously though, since so many devs I know rant about their QA / test engineers, what would your ideal Test engineer look like?!
I mean sometimes I feel like devs expect test engineers to write them their unit tests too...
