I am switching my job and they have workstations and I have to buy a laptop.
Can any body suggest a good hp laptop for development with not high price.

Not HP, but the ThinkPad series is good

which OS do you prefer ?

Gotta go with everyone else and suggest the new lenovo thinkpad 13, good non-glare 13" screen, solid performance and great battery life for not a lot of money (guessing you can find it for around $650). Just got mine last week and loving every minute of using it.

I just got a Dell Latitude e7470 for work, it's very nice and can be spec's out well.
