Haven't been on here in a while, but I had to rant about these security questions. I couldn't come up with legit answers for any of the very few options; most of which required you to be married....5

Probably my favorite item is the canister I use as a pen/squishy ball holder. My Dad gave it to me; it's part of a self rescue respirator from the salt mine he works at.
I got to go down in the mine several years ago, pretty awesome. It's around 700ft deep underground and is fully self supporting; down there everything is salt, the walls, floor and ceiling.4 -

I'm probably about to be building a website for a church group I'm involved with. What CMS would be the easiest to get going with? I haven't worked with any of them, but I do a lot of PHP development at work so I'd like one that uses PHP. Planning to host the site on a DigitalOcean droplet if that matters.3 -
I'm pretty sure whoever devised the syntax for Kamailio config files was drunk around half the time they were working on it, because only half of it makes sense.

I was in junior college working on a mechanical engineering degree taking Calculus 1, some other classes, and a beginner level C programming class.
I decided being a ME wasn't for me as I couldn't handle the math, but the programming was a lot of fun. I ended up dropping Cal 1 and changing majors only to find out that I needed to transfer to a 4 year school to continue on the developer track. A few years later in December of 2013 I graduated with my BS in Computer Information Systems and a couple of years after that I had a great job as a dev. -
Trying to dig back into a project that's been shelved for a couple of months....
Feeling like: WTF was I doing? -
Got my Stress Ball in the mail the other day. It now joins the other items living on my desk at work. :-)3

Still broken.... *Facepalm*
Now to try an old build and see if that works...2 -
Having one of those days where the code works on the development VM but not on the production box.... FML

Thoughts on Apache Cassandra? Seems awesome, but are there any gotchas we should know about before diving in? Currently we use Postgresql for most things.3

New Android N Beta build just dropped. Runs great so far and they fixed the VPN problem I was having with the VPN solution we use at work.

Had a company BBQ lunch today then someone turned on some dumb movie and everyone is sitting around laughing at it. I'm like how soon can I leave and get back to coding without looking rude....1

When the Javascript you're working on works fine the first few times; then inexplicably starts throwing an error and breaking on one box while continuing to work on another....

Here's a followup to my previous desk photo; this is my desk at work. Portrait monitors and Sci-Fi posters FTW!7
