Client wants my code working on port 80, but they have a Apache web server running.

    add a forwarding.

    if it is a web, create a virtualhost and use a subdomain for that project :)

    Reminds me of the time I needed to show a locally hosted project trough skype screen sharing...... Port 1234 is the way to go

    @dprm wtf, if you can't touch the server just tell them "I can't". Don't be afraid of telling the bad news to your clients, they MUST understand, otherwise they can go with another dev. IMO, as a professional you don't deserve that treatment :/

    @javierojeda bs rules, regulations, and stuff involved in the place I'm outsourcing. It would take months just to open a port on firewall. again fml.
