Worst interview experience just happened today. Had a face to face interview with three people for a web development position. Felt like they were making fun of me. I couldn't remember the proper group by syntax off the top of my head and had no access to Google. They ended the interview right there saying they needed someone who could hit the ground running and that I would need months of training to get to where they needed me to be. Which seems a bit unfair. I am rusty, sure, but most of the situation would have been mitigated via Google.

@g-m-f yeah, even if they hadn't ended it, I would probably not have taken the role. One thing they did was tell me to return a count in a select statement and before I even started typing they were like "use an aggregate function . . . it starts with C" before I could even try to think it through.

Yah your better off and be thankful you learned that before getting hired. They clearly are ego coders and don't operate a successful team.
Also to your point you never interrupt someone's idea before they start because you never know when someone will teach you something. Your progress their would have staled anyways.
