    Your efforts to obscure your name are fruitless... The full username/host name is in the title bar

    The bash console is weak 😢
    I had high hopes.

    You would be a lot better off getting a virtual machine running instead with virtual box and an iso.

    Will give you full desktop or server environment that actually works.

    I do not think it is a joke. It looks like someone trying Linux for the first time in what could be one of the easiest and most pain free ways currently on windows? Do we really need to bring out pitchforks and torches and shit? The dude is trying out something new...geez

    @AleCx04
    No one was making fun of him. I simply assumed it was a joke and felt as if I wasn't understanding the joke. I merely wanted clarification to confirm if this was serious or not.
    However, I, like the others who have commented, were *not* making fun of him at all.
    It's understanding that he's new to Linux. We all started out that way.

    Agreed with @Michelle no one is making fun of him...

    @Michelle where did I say people were making fun of him?

    @AleCx04
    You were implying it.
    You said, "do we really need to bring out the pitchforks and torches?"
    You may not have said it directly, but you did imply that we were giving him a hard time about it, which we weren't.

    I would agree that a virtual machine is better at this point.
    For some reason, the Linux Subsystem is ... SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

    I only use it for quick stuff, like a better SSH client than PuTTY.

    Do a live cd boot from usb or virtual machine untill you are messing with the partitioning.

    I use bash on Windows.

    I have install oh-my-zsh with cmder. Work nice.
