I never thought that I’m gonna say this. But this weekend I started using the new Edge browser and I liked it. I might use it everyday from now on. Before this my primary browser was Chrome.11

I fucking hate when my project manger makes me do demos on sprint reviews. I have enough fucking things to focus on. I don’t need this extra pressure. Fuck this. I hate public speaking. He thinks that it helps me to grow. Fuck him. 😒😒😒😒3

Drop some cool python automation ideas. Or projects that’s you worked on. If you feel like sharing of course.1

So In Domain Driven Design, it is okay to have methods in your domain class to load children (lists) on demand? Example: Your aggregate root is Person. Then a person has a list of books that they’ve read. Is it okay to load that list of books by using person.GetBooks(); instead of loading the books when the person is initialized?2

PO writes a story. We groom it. Point it. Do the work. Finish the work. Dev test it. Push it to test. Tester find a weird edge case. Talks to me. I agree it’s weird. I talk to PO and the PM in the standup. PO realizes the whole business flow doesn’t make any sense. Changes the AC. Asks us to change/redo shit. 2 days until the end of the sprint.
I guess I’m working this weekend. Not that I have to go anywhere 🤷🏽♂️4 -
Okay so I’ve decided to learn React with TypeScript. I’m a backend dev and doing .net core. I know with React people use JSX. But it looks like typescript is becoming the norm. Also hear redux is outdated and the hot new thing is hooks. Lol. Don’t know man. Is this a good place to start? I’m gonna learn a little but of typescript, the. Jump to React. Not gonna do JSX.1

In my company one of the tech leads created a “framework” for other devs to code on. His main goal is to restrict devs from doing whatever the hell they want and follow his platform. But that makes everything so complicated. If I need to find where it sets the connectionString, I’d have to go 7 levels deep in the code. Do you agree with this whole approach? If they wanted to standardize the dev process why can’t they document it and enforce it in code reviews. Restricting devs will lead to workarounds. They will find ways to do stuff by hacking the “framework”5

When are we getting One UI for S8 here in the US? I have an unlocked S8 and I still haven't received the update.

So we have this one dude in our team. Mid level engineer. 7 months old in the company. Arguing with everyone. Doesn't listen to the leads. Wants to do stuff in his own way. Complains about everything. First I thought he knows he stuff. But the. I realized he just wants to disagree with everything. Also thinks that all the work he did in his last job is superior. But most of the things are not following standards. Looks like he is just full of himself. How to deal with a person like that? Will he get fired eventually?7

I don't have Windows pro at home pc. So I can't run Docker. In the same time I don't wanna spend 200 bucks for the Pro. People say Docker Toolbox is a pain in the ass. Next option is run Docker on an Ubuntu VM. This is so annoying......19

This is something I saw on Twitter. I find this is a really good question.
What makes a senior software engineer stand out from a software engineer ?6 -
Have you used Postgresql with EF Core code first? My migrations don't run. It says in correct syntax near GENERATE. I don't know if this is a bug or I'm doing something stupid5

What you would do in a situation where your manager tells you to do "A" and your team lead tells you to do "B".
A and B are solutions to the same problem that we are trying to solve. Lead says the manager is wrong and Manager says they are correct.8 -
I saw a video on YouTube, iJustine goes on a Linus Tech Tips studio tour in Canada. Its a huge studio and he has like 50 people working for him. He has 2 script writers. He has created a fake kitchen and some kind of a garden to shoot videos inside of the studio. Its amazing how people make careers out of YouTube.8

Used TFS for last 7 years and now have to use GIT. OMG Can't get my head wrapped around it. Everything is so confusing. Online articles don't help a beginner. Send help please. Started using Bitbucket with Sourcetree. Still learning. I hate to say this But I feel TFS is more intuitive. Maybe because I'm new to GIT.16

Who else has used Passmark? I used it today for the first time and I was impressed. I'm at 90th percentile. What's yours?

Alright, as some of you already know, I got a gaming PC recently. I have a PS4 and an Xbox one but this is the first time I'm about to play PC games properly with a GTX 1070. I'm extremely thrilled. So please PC gaming masters help me to find good games. I play Forza Horizon 3 now. I love that game. I need to get another game or two. I was looking at Mafia 3, new Assassin's creed and FarCry 5. I need your help to figure this out. What should I play?21

Okah guys, here is the deal. I have two ideas in my head. I just need to design them and start coding. Problem is I can't find motivation. I'm trying to do this for years now. I guess I'm not motivated enough. I work about 9 hours a day. What should I do to get motivated. What do you guys do?8
