@Root my thought as well 😁
-
@Quirinus I can’t win this argument.
-
Umm... excuse me, “your” spiders?
#shelob -
You should start (or continue?) making comics. This was gold.
-
@geronimo don’t make me come over there!
-
@geronimo did you just call me an exception? 🥺
-
@rabbi surely if you are Bill Gates, no?
What if you are the Masterchief? Will Cortana listen than? -
I don’t know. I kind of like Brian.
Holy shit, so much hate for Brian in the chat. I bet it’s awkward for any Brian’s out there. -
Every single comment in thread “something similar happened to me too.”
-
The mutated egg of one species led to the birth of another species.
How is this not the rightfully accepted answer already?? -
Safari is dying?

I disagree. Whenever I encounter a problem, I choose to give up and start anew with a new framework.
Suffice to say I shave never finished a project since the late 90’s.
This is how I managed to have 20 years of experience in over 430 frameworks. -
B/c sending you a salted / encrypted password won’t serve any purpose. Than you won’t even know what your password is... duh 🙄
-
Maybe your boss is just passed you and others don’t notice when they change their hairstyle. It’s the small things!
Bosses deserve attention too 🥰 -
@vishal-vp perhaps to understand JavaScript intricacies so you can avoid them in production code and not get bit in the ass?
-
You know that tabs are not perpetual processes, right?
The “x” in the top corner should be able to close a tab adequately when you are finished with it.
Thank you

Have you ever heard of “shinning the turd” 💩?
-
Recursive endless loop. Shit.

Maybe the guy on reddit is a mastermind trying to get the actual kiddies to screw up their own systems.

CS classes were never the problem for me, although I am in the early stages and my experience makes the classes much too basic.
It’s all the math and other general education that gets to me. Would rather take 4-5 CS classes than 1 CS class and 5 general education classes. -
Interesting fact, I was on the Wikipedia page for GitHub and turns out the only time Github has ever been censored is when it was used to circumvent national law.
Russia - user posted suicide manuals
India - pro isis content
DDoS by China - tools for circumventing internet censorship
Turkey - containing leaked emails of a minister
Just thought someone might find this interesting 👍

People leaving for different platforms will still suck.
As much as I hate people contacting me on what’s app or obsessing over WhatsApp, at least it was a universal platform.
Trying to get people to stick to one platform can be a bitch. -
No. But there sure are conferences for that... 🤗
-
@kenogo that was actually exactly the case. Over the years I have switched between both platforms quite a bit.
Currently, I am fairly happy with the Apple ecosystem, it works really well. That’s one thing I learnt whilst trying to switch to a windows / google / Apple hybrid setup.
But than again, I DO NOT want to shell out $2,000 for a new computer when it becomes time to replace, which may be soon.
So it’s either hardware that I am more comfortable paying for or a software ecosystem that integrates with itself really well. -
@Condor Agreed, kind of. The pc I built 6 years ago is surprisingly still much faster than my 2-3 year old MacBook Pro that cost more.
That being said, the MacBook is a more delightful laptop and computer in general, and one unburdened by Microsoft pushing shit down your throat in Win10.
That’s one thing I don’t miss about using windows on the daily. -
If you’re waiting for a comparable specs to cost ratio of Macs over other machines, than Apple may not be for you in general.
That’s a hard pill 💊 I had to swallow a long time ago. It sucks but I think anyone reading this will agree Apple is unlikely to ever lower their prices, and those invested in the ecosystem or interested in their products will have to accept paying what they’re charging. -
I was in the same boat a few months ago.
1. Digital ocean has some great documentation and guides on how to deploy many applications to many environments.
2. If you are on Mac or Linux locally, I found it a bit easier to connect to remote servers since SSH is built in.
3. You will eventually have to setup SSL or rather TLS. Understand how it works on a fundamental level, than realize that learning how a technology works in a class or course will always be different than implementing it on your own for the first time.
I used Let’s Encrypt.
Welcome to this new level! -
Love that reference at the end!
-
@oudalally that I would not mind as well.
-
@oudalally
I wouldn’t mind the good folks over at google lending me a hand doing my job.
@PrivateGER
My thought exactly.
