We use WPML. It is the worst horror WP plugin from hell ever
-
Yeah, i wish i got to see my drama in my salary slip but i absolutely don’t
-
Thanks everyone for all geeky solutions. Unfortunately the local amazon doesnt sell the rear view mirrors. Also i wouldnt see it if im working on another screen then the one its attached on.
The (flash) light suggestions are also worth trying. -
@Grumm that’s really great but i have to deal with a CMS here
-
Manager is managing the design together with the designer. So in the end also responsible for all the additional crap we devs have to program.
The design is done for now but now my fellow dev wants everything programmed perfectly his ocd way. -
@IntrusionCM see this one often as well indeed. Especially in menus where divs are placed in li and a elements
-
At least they let you think you are allowed a vacation. Mine just doesn’t even get approved
-
You try a sidejob in a print on demand tshirt shop. You put in countless of hours without a single sell and eventually just give up and continue the job hunt for the next shitty developer job
-
So i’m jobless but i’m fully booked with 10 jobinterviews and 3 assessments this week. For next week i also already have 5 more interviews. I’ve never worked this hard in my life.
-
@whoDis i feel sorry for you buddy. Leave asap ;)
-
Did you get it?!
-
Second rejection gave me the standard, “doesn’t fit the profile as well as other candidates”. At least that’s something!
-
Mostly not landing. I rejected 1 offer so far
-
I’ve had my fair share of pressure in the past. It might be somekind of boomer attitude for others but yes, years count.
To be an expert in anything you roughly need 10.000 hours of practice. -
@F1973 70? In just one day?
I’m looking around now since 12-2019. My total amount is higher. I’m looking for vacancies every 2 years :’). -
@SortOfTested i meant minutes hehe. Having a skateboard in the back of your car helps!
-
@Wisecrack yeah i prefer driving car but here in Holland in the center of Amsterdam there is just NO way. Unless you (or the company) wants to pay €10 an hour for parking + gas money.
You also have the risk of cyclists, they are everywhere in Amsterdam as well.
I had jobs were i had to walk 15m everyday to and from my car because the boss was too cheap ass to arrange a parking spot.
But indeed, better then dealing with crazy folks and weirdos on a daily basis for sure.
Question; you’re white, and your avatar is brown? That’s just a 404 from my side. Please send bugreport. -
@Wisecrack also depends on the kind of traveling. Public transport should be rated lower then the car. Unless the car is paid for or you are able to travel first class. There was also a factor of the kind of projects i would be working on. The level of interest there wasn’t high enough. Rejected the job in the end!
-
2 hour commute? Damn i’m hesitating about taking a job with up to 3 hours a day
-
@jespersh negative indeed
-
Yeah it was fun to see their reaction on my salary indication. Obviously too high for them. But then again, it’s just an indication.
-
Wow. TAKE A CHILL PILL GIRL ITS ONLY WORK!!!!
-
At least i showed i can think outside the box and still make it working. But ofcourse i didnt get invited again.
-
And another recruiter from the same company called me at exactly 09:00 to discuss possibilities. Internal communication is a thing guys. This is horrible
-
Shit goes in, shit comes out. Don’t blame yourself
-
Nice board. I wonder about the amount of decibel you produce while you type though.
-
Ehhh, this doesn’t really look safe.
-
Already have a talk next week. They should end the contract next month.
-
He replied: “well I AM happy with my job”

Switching jobs in 3...2...
