Anyone else pissed at the trend towards massive, clunky OO libraries in PHP (and other languages)?

I needed to clear Redis and the amount of code to use the library was more than the amount of code to open a socket and write the command.

Has anyone got experience setting up a wallboard? What device would you recommend?

We use Klipfolio (which is great!) and I have a spare Samsung TV. I don't have a spare PC but could create a VM on the internal network for Chromecast etc. A raspberry pi is also an option. Chromebit looks good but very hard to find in the UK.
