@ryanmhoffman hahaha well yeah most anything is underwhelming after compiling Chromium from source
-
Hmm.. very "kind" of. In the sense that Vim is super powerful, as is a Ferrari, yes perfect analogy. In the sense that a Ferrari is overkill, then not really because Vim is very lightweight and is perfectly suited to taking text-based notes.
-
@AlgoRythm that's not what's actually happening though. This test performs a deep comparison of the members of each object. The objects passed to the assertion weren't empty either, that's just what shows up in the error message because of the test framework trying to make the error messages as useful as possible.
-
@VikiMaster2 hmm... I would probably recommend almost every book pictured actually.
-
@rectango not really applicable to much on my bookshelf.
-
@iamdevlpr lol I've got a couple
-
@Nilo-jxn and a little worse about the world 😂
-
@XiovV haha yeah I was inspired by their post! I thought it was pretty funny but I also thought of showers being good debuggers.
My hope is everyone makes a post of the best debugger in their opinion and then we would have a list of the best ways to fix your code :) -
Woohoo I get a free devRant stress ball!
Thanks for the 500 ++'s! -
@bigworld12 sometimes a question can be immediately spotted as low quality and quickly down-voted. It's usually not that the post is impossible to address, it's usually just that the post doesn't follow the guidelines for making a high quality post.
This means that it's probably missing some information that make it harder than necessary to answer.
The most common reason for down-votes, imho, is when a post requires some though/research to answer, but clearly very little was given to creating the post.
Most people are surprised to learn about the important steps they're leaving out once they've read http://stackoverflow.com/help/... -
Post a link and I'll try to explain why it was down-voted.

perfect 👌

@BindView I would imagine in most cases the Google search would be better than the site's own search, half of which are probably powered by Google (like YouTube's)
-
The same reason you better at everything when you're drunk: you're not, but you feel like you are 😂
-
Don't have any, and I was able to get a good offer regardless. Although I did read through the A+ book while I was working in IT for my university.
-
@BindView site: does the same thing on Google but is available for literally every site...
-
@BindView what do the bangs do?
Oh and Google has Wiki snippets. -
@bahua maybe 10 years ago before it became colloquial...
-
@BindView like what?
-
You know Google makes all of this very transparent and gives you complete control over what they track. You can even turn off everything with the flip of a switch.
-
@AlgoRythm I'm on board, it's super optimized
-
@aaxa *runs to Google "Hammerspoon"
-
@EdwinMiranda it is unrelated because in my rant I'm talking about people who are in essence demeaning a field of study by greatly oversimplifying its complexity.
What you're doing is eagerly pursuing a passion and you're doing it well enough to know what you don't know (which is surprisingly not a simple task). Kudos to you good person. -
@Nanos haha by local I meant within an approximate 100 mile radius. I mean it is mind numbingly small where my small town is.
-
@github Thanks :) I'm home for Christmas right now
-
@hacker ;)
-
Why is the H in Holiday capitalized?
-
@demiDev this seems to go directly against Google's values. Why did it block Iran?
-
@demiDev oh I see. So it's Google blocking Iran, not Iran blocking Google. Correct?
-
@demiDev why can't you download Android Studio directly in Iran?
