It's to make the idea of coding interesting. It also allows kids to get a bit of exposure to coding, esp those who might not have encountered it otherwise. You can't be what you can't see.
-
Just focus on understanding each part in isolation. Don't copy and paste a whole file or project you find somewhere without dissecting it. If you don't research each piece now, you will later when it breaks and your system is more complex.

Nooooooooooooooo

This man is hurt show him some sympathy! I'm sorry for your loss of 3 hours due to bullsh*t
-
I hate not knowing lol
-
Is the padding on the parent set to 0 and the margin on the child 0? If you paste a link I can help.
-
Update: I got a new job! Glad I was able to get out of there and put this position behind me! Onto the next!
-
Scratch that. It's all about medium series now lol
-
@adracea the owasp resources are great! thanks again!
-
@gummy yeah! Actually the best results I've seen have been from just inserting null into the URL. Seems to confuse the routing in most sites and cause a bunch of errors in the console. Looks like a good starting point haha
-
@adracea thanks! I'll report back any success I have hehe
-
Are you using React developer tools? I love that chrome extension
-
5 years React experience required hahaha
-
After spending an hour tweaking styling so my website looks half normal on Safari, I feel your pain.
-
Hmm... yes.
-
I did this too when for like a year! Weird haha
-
Have mercy man. I don't mean to sound like a dick, but it sounds like you might need to work on your communication with her.
You work closely with her, at least close enough to post about her on dev rant. If you haven't been able to explain to her that she needs to work on learning git yet; then perhaps try doing so. From what you posted, it's not like she is refusing to learn git. I'm assuming that she might be focusing on everything else that could be new and confusing to an intern.
Really though, you should either figure out how to tell her kindly what to focus on, or talk to your manager about having someone else work with her to bring her up to speed. -
What does she not understand?
-
@nblackburn :) I'm just joking! the week38 post was about what motivates you to be productive hahaha
-
I second this approach
-
I was just curious, most of my traffic comes from Dice or LinkedIn.
-
I want this as a sticker!!

@puerto for hotloading look at react-tilecard/example :) it's a little different with the latest version of react hot loader.
-
I have been working on one since I fried my MacBook and it isn't bad. The screen resolution is really small no matter what I do though. Did you have this problem?
-
@Cranio76 yeah it's not like it's mutually exclusive full stack exposure is ideal regardless of where you hang your hat from one job/project to the next.
-
@puerto I feel your pain. I just spent a week on building an npm package using webpack2 to bundle my production build. If you want to check out example config files I'm @fitzk on github. My react-tilecard project's webpack files are in working order haha ( for now ;) )
-
No
-
Where do you get it?
-
Don't worry you will figure it out. Just simplify your configuration and make no assumptions about how it should work lol
