Does anybody know why java is brown in GitHub, html is red, objective-c is blue, and swift is yellow?

I guess because coffee is brown? No idea about the others though

They are predefined here https://github.com/doda/... , could be randomly picked or randomly generated for a language perhaps? Who knows. I don't think there's any sort of implication behind the colouring.

well, I don't know, but let me tell you what I'd d, I'd write a function to convert the name of the language to a 6 long hexadecimal number, then stick a "#" in front of it, then run. maybe they have done something like that
