I'm just curious, where do these stats come from?
-
I own a Nexus 5x, best phone I ever had.
I cannot say the same thing of iPhones.
Tried lots of laptop but nothing gets closer to MBP 13"
Just saying.
I bet you, find a laptop with a better battery, a better trackpad, a better display and a better portability. -
This could be named: "guess who kills php-fpm processes" lol
Nginx has to pay!! -
Usually after the junior dev or the boss fucked up with a deploy...
-
@Shri but even the tracking one are everywhere LOL
-
Ansible! (Or even chef) Manage box like a boss 😎
-
Every. Day.
If it's not the junior dev, will be the designer or customer service or just stupid marketing questions. -
@Letmecode they solved this silly issue times ago
-
@davidmaerz It's like he's giving us a porn with censored areas....
Like an half joke...
Without the last bits it's all useless!
And yes, the shop name would be quite useful too... Research reasons, of course... -
Out of curiosity, which country do you live?
-
A junior php dev in London should not accept anything under 25k.
Otherwise means they don't really understand what you do. And you don't want this. Trust me.
But don't expect anything over 30k.
That's the truth. -
Because the number coupled go one up and one down?
-
And I thought was about the Google's pixel...
-
@knuppelsmurf @cahva I cannot literally laugh more right now
-
@Yankeesrule crime deterrent! Muhahahahahahahaha
-
Just so you can throw to anybody who dare disturb you while doing hard development.
Note: this may potentially destroy your whole house lol -
@leuu he will probably confirm you that's not the case...
And surprise surprise, we add an average of one new product to the website every week, this means users receives most of the time the same products again and again... -
@sgorneau indeed, but just like @WerewolfCustoms said, I'm so disappointed of our customers when there is "that" spike. Every damn time.
We also try to trick users in the typical small enough already-ticked checkbox for subscribing to the nl when they place an order.
Every few weeks someone complains, but most of the users are just fine :'| -
That's what I've been through in the UK :/
-
If only I had the opportunity to rate my teachers...
-
Personally I prefer font-weight, as I think it's the best way to do it...
-
@codeRetard I do too man, and London gives me the impression people are always up for complaining lol
-
@IceCoolTea Haha, I guess that's not really useful...
I mean, last time I was looking for a job companies/recruiter were asking (not requiring) to include your GutHub username.. so I guess it's, from a point of view, a way to prove your knowledge.
Just think about how many guys can't "FizzBuzz" -
I'm sorry, but like @unjx said, no foreign is complaining, I'm personally Italian and I had to learn it in the hard way, I learnt to code before being able to speak English, and I've never complained once...
-
I worked on a project in CodeIgniter ages ago, I thought was dead now.. anyway, that has been my first CI project, I learnt a lot, but definitely there's better around like Laravel and Symfony.
-
As rule this post now need 16 comments... Here you go!

@helloworld @dev-nope @ctrlz I'm currently working at a shop company and, god, you have no idea of how messy the codebase it.
Php short tag everywhere opening and closing, mixed with HTML, the worse thing I've seen ever. Classes used in the wrong way, using globals inside.
We're doing a big big refactoring using Symfony, but still, inconsistencies are in the language. see one of the my previous post to see how php behave with the String "x", casting it to both true and false.
still, check the syntax of the various array functions.
still, why the usort function is "not stable"? Surprise. You will discover this only later on
Now I really get why people don't use PHP for serious stuff (like banking).
I like it, don't take me wrong, but I think that's a quite bad language. -
It's getting better and pays the bills, but honestly, how many of you are actually proud of saying "I'm a PHP dev" to other devs?
-
@xroad I don't care about the 10.000 messages limit (if it's something important to remember just drop an email) but I see a lot of potential in the group chat by "area", like one for marketing or HR.
I guess I'm just trying to replace mail tho.. -
@xroad let's put in perspective: moving to Gmail businees has been already an "expensive" decision. And anyone is terrified by the imminent "brexit" :/ #timetosavemoney
