Starting a C++ developer role in a few weeks. Currently working with C, Perl and a little bit of Java. Have you got any tips for me? :)

Fell asleep on my first day in my very first project. When I woke up, I saw an email from our manager with the subject "No sleeping please.". No email body. 😂

I got nothing. Haha

This guy brought a vibrator at work and secretly showed it to everyone.

Went to Vietnam to attend a client meeting. The meeting was in Vietnamese. Oh, and I don't speak their language.

Client called that the application is printing 5 copies instead of 10. I told the store rep to print 20, and it worked! 😂

My Dad wanted me to become a Nurse, but he was impressed when I told him I'm going to take up Computer Science since it sounds fancy hehe But til this day he doesn't remember what I do for a living so when the topic pops up in one of our conversations, I have to explain over again. My Mom tells her friends that I am a "Computer Executive", no matter how many times I correct her. 😂

Titled my presentation "High Availability Setup", after a moment of thought, I changed it to "High Availability Architecture".

There, I will sound a bit more intelligent when I read it out loud on Monday. 😎😂

So... Stress balls aren't intended to be thrown at your colleagues. Interesting.

I go around the office judging other people's work in my mind. Then I go back to solving the problem with a renewed sense of self worth. haha

Our team had a brilliant engineer, he made a tool that would convert IBM Assembler code to C, comments included. the comments are the assembler code. bleh

Believe it or not I was once tasked to port a C program to COBOL. It wasn't fun.
