Ok... @tosensei you win. I'm gonna start using a knife for all round, orange, citrus fruits. (It's a tangelo)

@jestdotty also, im very curious what bet you had/thought i had based on the provided context... extremely curious.

I had previously(awhile ago) posted that i was hyperfocus coding so much that i found out that mandarin orange segments could actually get crispy 'skin' ... i peeled and separated one to eat then forgot about it for hours despite it being under 12in away next to me. He commented that he just always uses a knife... i called him a monster cuz it was just a mandarin orange/easy peel. After this experience im just gonna keep a valid knife more handy

    @Ranchonyx ... was?... warum?

@awesomeest it may be easy to peel, but it's even easier to slice.

also not sure if i mentioned that before, but when slicing instead of peeling/separating the segments, the actual eating experience is much juicier.

(plus: sprinkle some cinnamon on it. your taste buds will thank you)

addendum: https://youtube.com/watch/... - simpsons did it.

@tosensei im particular about lots of things... unless im making something more advanced out of a citrus fruit, its gotta be plain.

My friends joke that my general diet is veggies and candy... they honestly arent that far off. I tend to often make stuff that's too low in calories to sustain life (like miso soup with pak choi, onion, seaweed and sesame) and then have something like gushers or ice cream. My hyperfocus quick grab meals tend to look like a child's lunchbox plus some juice combo i make cuz its not made anymore thats 50% carrot juice and the rest is mango etc... ends up equalling relatively healthy

@ojt-rant youre missing the point here... i tried peeling it (apparently slighy old tangelos have an incredibly dense peel) finally got a few chunks off in exhaustion... was sitting/too stubborn to get up and get a knife, but i had my bag of random disposable spoons(etc) figured id scoop it out... made a dripping mess, got my hands and everything covered in juice... then admitted defeat via pic.

@kanyewest if youre gonna try that hard you should learn what's capitalised in german... ofc i know what should be caps but i know german too well and therefore don't try.

@jestdotty idk if u hyperfocus though... also i tend to eat much more slowly as intense pain doesnt give much of an appetite.

I'm very concerned that you may be missing something about how genetics work... or are...
  • 0
@jestdotty you said the guy was still german despite 5 generations... but thats how genetics works
  • 0
@jestdotty well it depends on how german is dna for you to identify someone as german? For example, im pretty sure the usa still views someone as native american enough for tons of perks and a pile of college grant money if they are like 1/14 of the vast majority of native american tribes. I know several people who actually got a dna test just to check and were surprised they qualified... cuz their parents and grandparents didnt even realise the heritage.

Aside from gov aid i dont think any of the ones i know would ever identify as being native american... except maybe to win a drunk arguement or some other novel use.

How many round, orange, citrus fruits are there? Oranges, _mandarinas_... ¿_pomelos_ _naranjas_...?

@jestdotty i believe it.. i mean we are the same country who had marijuana at the same criminal level as heroine and cocaine, very soon after cocaine didnt require a prescription and was the coca in cola... we still haven't changed weed federally but started off with california "medical" only... i have a friend who, over a decade ago, came to michigan (where i live) from CA with his medical card that was legally issued under the medical reason of necessity as "general improvement of life" i even confirmed it.
