Lensflare1448022dThere are countless tv series which fall into your criteria. Most sitcoms for example. It depends on your taste of course. Obviously it doesn‘t need to be a German series. Just use the German voice setting in your streaming service. The translated German voice is much clearer than original German voice, anyways.
How about the good old The Big Bang Theory?
I‘ve rewatched it in English recently to improve my English :) -
Just learn the correct attitude and you will be understood https://youtu.be/0ktjiExyHXg

@NoMad unironically watch German dubbed tv series, anything you are comfy and familiar with. I learned German just by watching tv as a kid and watched shows like "the Simpsons", "Futurama" and "Star Trek TNG".

And we send you lots of virtual hugs and support, if you consent to accept them of course.

I used to set my games to German and add English subtitles to help me learn some German. It worked well for me.
I'm a native Afrikaans speaker (same language family as German and Dutch), so I guess that made it easier for me. -
If you like reading get a hold of Der Great Gatsby. It's a book that starts out mostly in English and then gradually replaces words until it's fully in German
-
daniel-wu64421dI prefer Young Sheldon over Big Bang Theory. I hate the lying audience laughs on classic sitcoms.

I remember us briefly talking on the discord a longer while back, it still exists, so if you ever wanna practice or ask anything feel free to ping :) -
CoreFusionX303621dWell, #6 is gonna be a bummer.
The best way to learn a language is to go out and speak it.
I mean, sure Portuguese is easier for native Spanish speakers, but in just two months time I went from having lots of theoretical knowledge but being unable to understand two words together to having decently fluid conversations.
And that came not from books or media, but just sitting in a noisy bar listening and speaking to people.

1. I have to learn German (as a language).
2. I have undiagnosed and subclinical ADHD.
3. I have a job that partially needs my brain for 9 hours of the day.
4. I'm coming off of antidepressants. (Life has been hard lately. Needed a little help to cope.)
5. I need to finish learning German in about 2-3 months.
6. I don't enjoy interacting with people.
Any suggestions for what can help with the goal? Software, web apps, services, etc. Specially good non-violent and non-depressing tv-series.
