Saying nothing about that content that costs 0 to create have also 0 value.

    Good content is never zero to produce. This guy is stupid.

    @Demolishun it feels like zero when you make 10s of millions per year. These are the out of touch people controlling huge portions of our lives 🙃

    @jeeper this kind of person makes me realize how WE need to be storytellers. Not consumers of other people's garbage stories. But our own worlds both fact and fiction. The belief system of scarcity does nothing but harm our world and our thinking. I am sick and tired of their shitty world view.

    I'm not sure he's arguing that all content nowadays is easy to make, but more like that content nowadays *can* be very easily made (with obviously dubious quality) and that he wonders what the difference between them is

    technically he said close to zero, not zero

    and from a money making perspective he's just mining for investment advice to find "infrastructure", which is the best thing to invest in because everybody needs to use it so it will keep up with inflation and can only grow

    spotify is a piece of shit predatory platform tho
    so maybe his predatory practices are suffering under inflation and he's looking to enshittify some other sector

    I don't even know what content is by this point. people keep using this word

    considering I don't know what content is perhaps modern content failed to be full of any content for me?

    @jestdotty

    Game Devs: You will be content with the shitty content and be happy it ain't EA.

    @12bitfloat ”easily made” - entertainment can be easily made since the fucking beginning of this planet, it’s older than humans,

    He have no taste if he chose free content. And culture is fucking expensive as fuck, to experience culture you need to spend lots of money, go to concert, fly or drive to some festival, buy accommodation.

    That’s fucking expensive to buy for normal people, to experience culture. He forgot what he’s selling to people.

    Crap application to stream music that signed deals with the devil that are music publishing corporations.

    Fucking moron.

    @jestdotty I believe when they all say content they are meaning entertainment.

    It can be watching news, playing games, things you do when you’re poor and can’t afford to meet real people.

    @Demolishun I disagree - content costs litteraly 0 to produce.

    Culture is not 0 to produce, in fact culture is so expensive you can’t buy or produce it, you can be only part of it.

    Just go out, flash your dick and let people to record it. Here you created content. Or better one - draw a dick on some building. If you chose a right building you just created content that millions of people will watch everyday weather they like it or not. But is it a fucking culture ? Is it art ? No it’s not.

    What content is he talking about? If he means pop music, I guess so yeah, the true cost comes in the marketing of the product, making the “artist” as beautiful as possible etc.

    @Demolishun you LOVE EA 😜 way more than Bethesda

    For real though, it's still funny to think about academics in the coming centuries trying to make sense of the fuckfest we're leaving behind. Imagine being the guy that has to teach this period in history, he can't just skip the interwebz now can he. It'll become a field of study of it's own. It already is, in fact, mother fuckers earning their doctorate in memes lecturing your ass on the proper way to use a template.

    Anyway, drill his ass with a mechanic holesaw until you reach the innermost core of his gastrointestinal structure, that will teach him some respect.

    @TeachMeCode

    Redguard Please...

    You seem EA curious?

    @Liebranca the rise and fall of the internet, how billionaires killed industry that gave them billions ?

    this is what you meant ?

    @vane What I was thinking is there's an endless stream of fake footage generated solely for laughs, that looks real enough to fool an untrained eye, and if the context of the joke is missed or lost to time there's simply no telling what people will make of it. So the only route is passing down knowledge of this deceiving footage, but that only means facts will too be eventually brought into question.

    Uncertainty is not a new concept to historians. But we're at a point in time when they're really getting kicked in the nads due to the sheer volume of information, most of it complete fabrication. Looking for *reality* within records this corrupted is going to be a real needle-in-the-hay situation.

    And with a mess like that, the fall of the ruling plutocracy is but a footnote. We've seen "the rich and powerful were cast down for being self-serving assholes" before, it's an old story. Our newfound ability for deception is not.

    Sorry this is so long, I felt like ranting a bit ;>

    if it costs almost 0 to create, then why the hell would I pay a subscription of $12 a month to get it?

    Perhaps the CEO of spotify should think about whether the subscription should also cost close to 0 since you just can't have close to infinite margin on each sale... or he should think twice about whether what he's saying even makes sense in the first place -_-

    @vane I did qualify with "good". Yes, shit content I agree. I think constant bombardment of shit content would hopefully cause people to be much more selective. I know if I don't like a video game in less than 2 hours I refund on steam.
