You can disable IE

Point the shortcut somewhere else, and/or disable access to IE via a policy.

4 easy steps to cure this frequent problem.

1. Create a shortcut that point to : shutdown -r -f -t 0
2. Change the Icon for IE.
3. Wait.

Each time he is gonna try to open IE it's gonna restart the computer.

Just tell him it's an IE bug after some time passed and that he should use something else. 😂
