Ok I'm going to say something I feel a lot of people will be annoyed at but...

Linux Mint is the ugliest distro I've ever seen :-/

Anyone else think the same or am I on my own here?

    @Andrian honestly I wouldn't, id rather a full CLI than mint, it's just very garish and reminds me of windows 95 era interfaces... Just higher resolution

    Agreed. Too much grey and very dull green.

    @speedForce exactly, it's too full and it's not the minimal kind of dull that can look very good

    @Alice 0.o how so?

    @Alice that is so strange... I have only ever had that issue when trying out Apricity OS, never heard of it happen on mint :-/

    @Alice it's a sign

    I personally think it looks simple and elegant...

    @Michelle eh, just looks dated and messy to me.

    But then again I loved the unity 8 shell and I love material deisgn so my rates are very very very different

    Hannah Montana Linux is objectively worse

    This also may be really unpopular, but I really hate The look of ubuntu

    @Alice I tried to install it yesterday, but had to do some stuff from the live environment because its installer failed but successfully fucked up my grub before it did.

    So I decided to make a bit of a distro hop from Antergos and installed Manjaro. Amazing so far. I don't see a compelling reason to install a reskinned Ubuntu.

    @mzeffect never understood the point of reskinned distro's, I just install standard Ubuntu, install a theme and icon set and done

    @speedForce Tried the now dead KDE edition?

    Guys, this is Linux. Just go grab an XFCE Mint distro, customize the hell out of it and its perfect.

    I think linux os ui stuck in previous century.

    @Pogromist If you really think that, check out Solus. You'll realize that Linux can be beautiful, but people choose for it to not be because they feel more comfortable with a slightly less beautiful but much more accessible interface.

    I like simplicity in an OS because that means most of the time was spent in its functionality

    @rjedlin I know that linux has distributions with nice ui, but most of programs are without ui or with ancient design.
