It sounds a bit strange that your confidence is boosted by talking to beautiful people...
The other question I ask myself is if you really want a girlfriend working at the same company. -
Phlisg25167y@PonySlaystation Ah well, maybe I wrote that wrong - I meant I feel comfortable talking with good-looking women
And no, no girlfriend at work indeed. But am leaving soon (or should if I find another job), so now is an opportunity :) -
There's women everywhere dude, getting involved with people at work is asking for trouble.
-
Phlisg25167y@DodgerAkame With that percentage, I might end up with an arm or some body part...
Okay this becomes ackward
hahaha -
@irene I don't think the looks of a person should matter to one's ability to communicate.
If you (some person) are only able to normaly speek to "ugly people" and get nervous with beatiful people then I personally think something is wrong.
But if you have a crush on someone and for you he/she is the most beautiful person in the universe, then it is a whole other story. 😉 -
@irene I had that too when I was a teenager (only for the opposite sex), but it suddenly stops when you realize that "beautiful", "normal" or "ugly" people are just people and can be just as fucked up as any othe human being.
I also heard often that "beautiful" women don't wan't to be treated like they are they are beautiful thing. What I also heard that if they are "too beautiful" then basically only jerks "have the guts" to ask them out.
If people have a problem speaking to a "beautiful" person they they should just try to get over this problem. -
@irene It goes in the direction of how a lot of people speak to disabled people: In a pitying way.
Or it is just similar to how patronized women feel in tech because some men speak to them as if they were aliens in this business field... 😄 -
@irene Just try to think that even the most beautiful person is just as stupid as fuck as any other person but with "better looks".
Even the most beautiful person stinks on the toilet, picks its nose or has another disgusting habit.
It's just a human. 😄 -
@irene I think not anymore.
I stopped treating some people in a special way. If I don't know the person well, I do kind of small talk if I have to talk or avoid awkwardness, but it depends on the situation. -
@irene you may get used to it. Just pick something "kind of funny" or something you thing the opposite person has interest in.
-
@irene Then it will be difficult to get close with another person. Give yourself time 😉
Pro(s) at working in my company:
- Lots of girls (we're literally 10% male)
Con(s) at working in my company:
- 99.9376% of them are taken :/
But hey, at least I can get my confidence boosted by talking to beautiful people and make new female friends :D
