Considering the current goals of several corporations and governments, all that would accomplish is mass firings in favor of hiring "less entitled" alternatives with "work ethic" that aligns more with their vision of how things should be.

Hazarth95872dHonestly, I don't want sports, hobbies and glasses paid.... I want the society to change to a system that doesn't require me to sit and stare at a screen nonstop for 8 hours. Of which home office is a great improvement, but in general companies should get comfortable with people just not being online all the time and being more result oriented rather than presence oriented... so I could go for an actual hike or something during the day and then work later without people being sus why I'm away/offline or if I'm gonna make some dumb meeting :) Needs a systemic change

@Tounai my grand-granddad was a cheminot. He went to work at the yard (triage) under americans bombing, hid some british soldiers and they were sending german trains on the wrong tracks lmao
Sad what happens to the sncf tbh. It used to be the best in the world with japan. -
@Tounai nah but yeah in transports if people should be allowed to strike (and they should) passengers should be allowed to strike to and not pay when the service sucks.
Like i get bus drivers is kindof a shit job but bro you're driving students and poor people, you sing the internationale and then sit your ass on your audi to go back to your suburban house. -
@BordedDev And when I get out of jail, I'll have a really lucrative job waiting for me at the local Burger King.
-
@cuddlyogre I don't imagine Burger King will look too fondly on people who went on strike. Let's not kid ourselves, it would take 20 minutes for someone to replace the keys, it's pretty common with clients I've had to deal with and nothing will happen unless you took down prod as well
-
kiki356151d@cuddlyogre that’s exactly what’s gonna happen in the US. In Western Europe though… different story.
-
kiki356151d@Ranchonyx when they fire you In Germany, how many months worth of salary they have to pay you?
