Just an update : never fucking install windows 7 on a new desktop without first reading , fucking piece of shit won’t detect my SSD , tried different solution over the Internet to no success, after 3 hours of nerve wrecking debugging I read a post on the Internet that “some”(not sure which) versions of windows just don’t detect an SSD,
Finally done by installing windows 10,
But nooooooo will windows let me die in peace, noooooooo
Every fucking time I restart my PC “ windows is installing updates
I mean fuck you , how fucking many bugs do you squash in a day.

Probably some engineer at Microsoft will be “ oops o dropped a donut on my keyboard, let just press ctrl + z” to undo changes and upload , lol “

    You install an OS which built 8 years ago and expect it works out of the box...

    A JS framework can only last 6 month, think about this...

    Perhaps it was a MBR/GPT issue? I don't remember if 7 works with GPT, though.

    Even though you downloaded the latest ISO from Microsoft, that doesn't mean it's the latest build. I think they only release builds when it's a serious patch. So...yeah, updates happen because you're outdated and unless you want to be exposed to ransomware and other stuff, don't deactivate them.

    Windows 7 even with sp3 slipstreamed probably didn't have built in driver support for your sata controller. Probably newer Intel controller. If you use nt-lite you can add the driver into the setup part of the image, create a new iso and use the iso with something like easy2boot to boot the windows 7 installer from usb and run setup like normal (since driver support would be there).

    There's a packaged Intel storage drivers for both raid and ahci that does wonders for win7 not an official package mind you 😇
    Anyway it's a driver problem, seven will happily work from an ssd, I have dozens of optiplex upgraded to ssd without any issues.

    You can sideload drivers for pretty much anything you want. Forgot the specifics but remember having to do it for USB3 drivers on a mac
