Is anyone else driven slightly mad by the fact that DevRant shows you rants you've already seen on a reload? I mean this is a place by and for developers, right? I guess it's not called UXRant though 😑

This will no longer be the case when we launch our new algo sort, which is coming soon.

There's very valid reasons to keep the way we do it now (ex. people like to see when their rants are trending, go back to content you just scrolled past, etc.) but we think overall it will be better to show unread content in algo making it easier to discover older content you might have missed.

@dfox But then how do we go back to content we want to look at again? Via notifications.?

and yes please make it so that gifs load automatically on Wi-Fi.

@EpIcInCoGnItO yeah, you will have to go back to content via notifications, your ++ list (stuff you've liked), favorites list, etc.

We can only construct algo in 1 of 2 ways really - like it is now where content doesn't change too often, or the new way we're going to be testing where once you view/scroll past/vote content, you won't see it again in algo.
