@CurseMeSlowly yeah, not everyone pronounces WiFi in English.

LOL I sometimes say "We Fe" sarcastically

i is pronounced i in many languages. (i as in "bitch")
  • 2
@zlice I pronounce it "up-s" (the word up but a plural version that doesn't actually exist lol)

    > "We Fe"
That's actually how it's pronounced in Slovak, for it to be pronounced like it is in English it would have to be written like this: WaiFai
(and to be fair we pronounce V and W the same because we have no use for W, I don't even know why we have it in the alphabet 🤔)

@zlice I pronounce UPS as 'you pee ass' 😬😏

@CurseMeSlowly in the Netherlands it's more common to say 'wee fee' than 'why fye'.

@Jilano is right. It is the correct pronunciation in French too.

As long as they don’t call TODO’s “totos”. I would kill a man for that.

Same problem with router.. in slovenia most people just say rooter, a mixure of english word and how you'd pronounce it in slovenian. This, sql, wifi are one of the hardest words to pronounce properly in english for me, because I instinctly go for our version of pronounciation..
