There was this one time when a coworker needed to update the Xcode.

IIRC because his Mac mini was low on storage space, the update failed && the Xcode became corrupted.

He found that out when he tried to open the Xcode, at which time he was presented w/ an error akin to:
'Xcode was found to be corrupted && was moved to the Recycle Bin'.

C: 'Good, it belongs there!'.

    Apple problems require apple solutions

    @BordedDev

You mean "pay us another crapload for another substandard set of hardware", right?

Day after day, I feel like Apple’s test subject whose purchases of Apple-made tech are intercepted, and goods are replaced with custom-made, better versions. Same with software — they send me “better” updates that work better in every way.

My first purchase was iPhone SE first gen. I never had battery issues everybody claimed to have. Then, I bought a 12-inch MacBook with dreaded butterfly keyboard that never malfunctioned on me, not even once.

My second iPhone was (and still is) the iPhone X, that survived multiple hard falls with not as much as a crack. It once left a dent in the flooring without being dented itself.

People complained about Apple nerfing cameras with updates — mine is fully updated and still shoots as good as day one. Software update on all my devices just works for me. Nothing is ever corrupted.

You all say things that seem so out of this world to me that I really do feel like a test subject.

Even today, Lensflare said that Apple’s peculiar name highlighting didn’t work for him in devJoy app, but it worked for me.

@kiki I can confirm that it works, just not in every textfield 😂
Probably depends on the assigned content type.

@kiki same here with apple products and software. I never get the crazy shit that others complain about.

@Lensflare I tried “New comment” field

    "You're updating it wrong"
    Probably someone at Apple

@kiki Just to clarify, I do think this is a good compromise, just funny it didn't check ahead of time if it could fit
