    @makarand yeah, but it is just....
    Uhh
    Never Mind

    @CozyPlanes yeah I understand it has that vibe where everything looked same and all but newer version shows promise, allows customisation.

    I love 2.0 but this is just.... No...

    @sabbonaut well it might not be so clear from screenshot. But the chrome sure has made some drastic changes to the ui. You can download it and try for yourself if you want to check it.

    Looking forward to it, looks very good. But I'm saying that bcs im young and adapt to change easily. Lots of devs I know would revert to Win 98 UI if they could :P

    @Floydian what is a zen level. ?

    You mean simple. Then I think chrome has always been simple as compared to the Mozilla. Although its my opinion. You might feel differently, you can try it. Its minimal and clean without clutter.

    @Floydian

    I realized that Chrome UI is kind of useless since all the functions can be executed using keyboard shortcuts and that I'd rather use window managers (i3) tabs instead of Chrome tabs.

    So I made extensions for disabling / hiding all that. Much better.

    @joas yeah can you link us to the extension. Its good to try new things

    @Floydian

    @makarand

    I originally didn't want to publish it, because it seemed so specific use-case. Now I cannot even make a good name for it but here you go.

    Let me know if you find it useful.

    Material design is the only thing that made android usable. If you ever had the pleasure of using android apps before material came out, you would know what I'm talking about.

    @tahnik yup totally agree. They were horrible. Material provided meaning to android user interface and that is when android truly became a rival to iOS.

    Those big ass tabs.. :|

    Looks pretty nice, I wonder if Vivaldi will take any of the changes on board. I hope I can hide the user button now, I've had to resort to calling myself . Just to make it minimal. Still wasted space.

    wait whats the difference? it sorta looks like Firefox/Edge now?
  • 2
    @Jilano oh just saw... So Linux adult now.... But that's key crappy?

    New button on left, new tab is created on the right?

    Also I never use that button anyway...

    @Floydian

    Just install it like any unpackaged extension and configure the keyboard shortcut.
