I don't know if anyone else here uses kik but there's something that's been bugging me for a while
Occasionally (frequently) bots start a conversation with you (the typical "come visit my porn website etc etc), right? Now, this has happened to me at least 20 times now, and EVERY single time, the bot's profile picture has loads of translucent yellow stars edited in, and I have no idea why
I can't think of a possible explanation for this, and I've put a lot of thought into it

These fuckers are annoying asf.

There's been a wave of bots on Instagram that pretend to be fan accounts for sports teams, but it just reposts legit account's material.

I really hate kik.
Last time I used it I was 13. I left because there lots of annoying spmammers and sexual harassers.

To bypass the spam detection probably, many messengers seem to automatically ban/decline, if you create thousands of bots all with the same profile, this way they just throw a layer onto the avatar and maybe invisible whitespaces and they bypass the detection.
