I understand it for small screen sizes, but for large resolutions with plenty of space it just feels plain silly.
unless you have one of them fancy experience sites. but for corporate... meh... -
noamtm1568yI remember reading about two years ago, UX experts all over warned that the hamburger menu is a huge mistake... they lost.

xroad23808yIt does suck. But there is no better alternative. Even with the larger screen sizes it's not possibly to display all options - it'll just get too cluttered

3stacks448yThe pizza menu is now the way to go. look at Facebook, Spotify on iOS etc. read a huge study about the fact hamburger menu is worse for usability and engagement

kshep9232708yDesigners hate it so much that I read an article recently that said if you need a hamburger menu, you probably have too much functionality lol
I understand why it's a bad design feature, but I honestly haven't seen any of the other proposals catch on.

The 'hamburger menu' is now like, and industry standard for basic UX everywhere.
Am I the only one who feels that it in its entirety, sucks?
the way iPhone implements its commands on the bottom or the way windows used to (before it gave in to hamburgers in UWP) implement charms was a way more efficient and elegant way to show commands..
I cant think of a better way without sacrificing screen space, but this for sure isn't the best way to handle commands.
