Client sends an email after 5 PM. We all left for home.

Client: blah blah blah...We urgently need this app to be done by COB on Monday. Our CEO is going to launching it on Tuesday to the board of Directors.

––Boss forwards me the email––

Boss: Can you get this done by this weekend.

––On Viber––
Boss: I have sent you an urgent email. Let me know.

––My Reply––
Me: This can't be done in a day or 2. Looking at the scope of work, I need at least 8 weeks.

––Boss Replies back––
Boss: You are not performing at the best of your ability. Come and see me on Monday, I need to talk to you about your performance on urgent projects.

    @carlosjpc nah this is a clear violation of his contract. He agreed to sell his workforce from monday to friday. If the boss accepts orders that can't be done in those work hours it is the boss fault. Not the employees.

    @error503 read your work contract and the work laws. Take them with you among a detailed estimate of the task on monday. Let a seccond developer verify that estimate.

    Yeah, as if "better performance" would allow to do an eight weeks task in two days. Looks like sales has churned out an offer without asking the devs how long it will take.

    Boss needs to talk to sales that they fucked it up.

    This is when the Owner of the Web Enterprise never has been a programmer so cannot understand the work to do and the time needed. If he don't know how to run a business without accepting all the clients favors he will be out of business before he can see ankther opportunity. This is why I have my business and don't want to get these kind of shit happening to me and then don't let these happen to my employee and future employees. I never accept a contract I can't do in the minimum time asked to. Good luck m8 and give us some news!

    @error503 Good thing, I wish him to learn from his error, apologize to you about this then try to became a better entrepreneur, otherwise he can do like most, quit like a loser and put the fault on his employees.
