Okay, everyone probably knows this, but some recruiters are so lazy that they generate template text for every candidate and just plug in variables:

Hello {name}, I saw your {profile} and I think you would be a good match for {vacancy}. Let's connect!

Yeah, if you see this kind of shit, you know it's obvious.

empty company emails may as well have been AI all this time

now I can ignore them and say it's AI spam and people will nod along and it's socially ok, yes?

Sometimes they even forget to replace the placeholders

@Lensflare Haha, yes exactly, had it multiple times. I'm really like "You've one job". But i always take in big offense that they don't know what technology is used for what. I mean, you guys have SO LITTLE to learn. They literally have nothing to add. Without recruiter, you probably have bigger chance to be hired since there is not some parasite sucking money out of the deal. But the most fun is when they say "For a customer of ours". Fuck you, it's not your customer, they never heard of you. You don't have real connections. My 300+ connections are at least people what I've really worked with and WANT to be related to. Many people did not make it. Good luck with your 500+ 'connections'. When they say "Let's connect, that's always a good idea right?" -> is literally what they say in NL -> NO IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE MANY RECRUITERS IN YOUR CONTACT LIST. Many connections also kinda mean (in my eyes) that you do not really care about quality of connections. I suspended linkedin.

@retoor I suspended it because i have some recommendations that i am quite proud of. Want them to stay. Would sad to miss. More from fellow developers than employers. I care much about reputation.

If you care so much about reputation, maybe stop ranting like a bitter ex and actually build real skills instead of hiding from recruiters. 😂 But hey, at least your fellow devs' pity pats on the back keep your ego afloat! 😏
