Elyz78096y@FrodoSwaggins my university is forcing an entire class to create uwp apps this semester. So much xaml, so much suffering. I want to die too.

In my opinion, xaml is actually very good for designing UI. Sure, UWP is shit but you can make desktop apps in WPF which is awesome (fight me). And to make everyone's day a little bit worse, if you didn't know, the Visual Studio UI is built with Xaml. ๐

JS96185306y@SparkyTD I wonder how they did it.
In theory they use VS to make VS, but the XAML Editor is the worst thing they’ve ever made, it crashes and freezes all the time. -
deodexed5746y@SparkyTD I 100% agree with you, UWP is too restricted but with WPF you get up and running in no time.
Visual Studio (the ide) does require a powerful computer and even more powerful if coupled with resharper. -

TRex10386yGuys guys guys. You're running you laptops at low performance setting. (Windows by default does that to improve battery life) unplug charging cord go to battery settings and set the performance to recommended.it'll solve these graphic issues. ๐

@FrodoSwaggins I've worked with XAML quite a lot and I really quite love it. Better than WinForms by a mile.
-
@FrodoSwaggins I have not found a better native UI system for Windows. If I could use XAML in Linux, I would. It's fantastic. There are many different layout options, it's extensible, styleable, responsive, and doesn't even have a terrible learning curve.

@FrodoSwaggins I've tried QT probably as much as you have tried XAML. I have used TK though with python and from my understanding they are remotely similar.
