In season 1 he hacked the evil corp network using a raspberry pi. I get that. But wouldn't you need to power it up though.. Despite all that, they do try you know. Kali Linux, femtocells, trojans, rootkits, init levels for instance. Any more and you'd lose all your non tech audience

Lots of films/shows that have some form of coding or hacking generally just use real code that would run, but has nothing to do with what they say it does.

Never bothers me, I don't watch Suits and think "hmmmm all this legal jargon had better be real!"
