@Pogromist Fantastic, now you have more space on your drive! You're welcome
@lazysnail It isn't really the most creative idea every, lol. -
tuc0w3086yThis really sounds great and I love the stacking and stuff BUT could you provide some screenshots of it running since not everyone wants to compile and run it?
-
@tuc0w I really was going to but it was 3am when I posted it, and now it's 6am. Plus they're just a few boxes... I'll save the screenshots for when I have actually interesting things rendering like buttons and text boxes and rich text and canvases.
Right now, it does a whole lotta thinking... But it doesn't do a whole lotta showing. -
@Pogromist MS added a Linux subsystem to windows within the last couple of years, so you can run Linux command line apps in Windows.

@billgates That's not the release. That's the current code, I gather. Release 0.0.1 has a large readme in it.

bikerwhocodes23Client : How much for the project? Me : $10,000 Client : I will give you $72.
The project I have been working on on/ off since Christmas is finally interesting enough to show off!
In short, it's a faux GUI system in the console, with a lot of advanced features that you would see in web browsers and other professional GUI systems.
Most of the core items are now implemented, and it's only time to make it functional in a usability sense.
Here's the tech demo; readme.md is a HUGE essay about everything that's going on. Plus some pretty damn good instructions on how to get it running:
