Just use the normal gmail app. I've never had any problems with it.

Context dependant styled cards with for example package or airplane tickets were the best thing ever.

This doesn't scratch the surface of what gmail is missing.

They completely fucked the design of the new Gmail app.
Looks like something a 3 year old could have drawn.

RIP Inbox, it was more intuitive to use.
Also, the gmail app has ads in it?!

Maybe it was like this all along and I only recently started noticing it, but gmail feels slow as all hell lately. I feel like more than half the time I click to archive or delete a thing it gets stuck waiting for a lost update.

I've been considering going back to storing my mails locally again, or at least use a different provider. I'm not stoked about how Google wants to offer every single service.

I'll never forget when my friend shared their google calendar with me and I started getting ads - in firefox, where I'm not logged into my google account - about products related to their events.

I feel you. I've hitting the "Not Now" button ever since it started popping up and I'll keep hitting it until the last day. The Gmail app sucks that I couldn't even open or download an attachment but I was able to Inbox. If they're asking to switch to Gmail, they should at least make it work!

I actually prefer using basic html (classic) version. Looks ugly, a bit impractical, but hey it's faster.
