Being a programmer and addicted to porn is a challenge, thus most work is in front of the screen. It's like trying to stop drugs but you work in a drug factory...

I've realized that it highly affects my ability to focus on code.

Well, don't watch porn. Hammer the negatives that come from porn into your head. Don't give in to your reward system. You might want to find an accountability partner on the subreddit you mentioned.

i agree it can be a problem...
people get fired for this, some because are careless, but some others actually have a problem.

everytime I can I say this: fuck nofap, pornfree is better (as long as you don't whack it 10 times a day)

addendum to previous comment: Definitely do something else. Your brain thinks of watching porn? Do something else that occupies you. Take the stress the urge gives you and use it for something else. Either actually writing code, or if the tempation from your screen is overwhelming, do something physical (and non-sexual, ideally)

Can’t you just run to the bathroom and rub one out? Mobile internet is a wonderful thing.

If it’s genuinely that much of a problem for you, I’d recommend seeking medical help, as if it’s legitimately interfering with your life and normal functioning, then it’s time to get help.

@Nanos this is true. Being overweight reduces your testosterone production. Which also means lower sex drive, lack of motivation, depression and other mood problems. All in all, I wouldnt recommend it ;)
