Moving from Eclipse to IntelliJ. Looks good so far with the dark theme, but I miss the hands-on feel of Eclipse. Which do y'all prefer for Java?

Personally prefer Eclipse. IntelliJ's project>app design never made sense for what I do (lots of unrelated small projects) and the inline warnings are much more obvious.

I like Eclipse, more because I’ve never used anything else...

@franga2000 yeah. The general debug system of IntelliJ is much different in comparison. A bit weird to start with.

I like IntelliJ better, after I began using it I also switched from my trusty old Brackets to PHPStorm (which I'm still a tad skeptical about)

IntelliJ is our Lord and saviour.

Their version control integration is so fucking awesome. And their auto completion is top class

    IntelliJ.
It felt like a weight lifted from my shoulders when I first used it. Everything just made more sense, and compared to Eclipse it was blazingly fast.

I have no problem with either. Hehe the thing is, the more you use a new tool, the more familiar you become with it and love it. I moved from 1) BlueJ to 2) Eclipse and now on 3) IntelliJ.. Sometimes I switch between the two(2 & 3).

I use Netbeans, it is really good. And I wonder why it wasn't mentioned before.

    IntelliJs auto-complete is beyond superior...

I switched from eclipse to intellij because of android. Best decision ever. Intellij is miles from eclipse when it comes to stability and functionality.

I prefer notepad. Not even notepad++ JUST notepad.

Jk I don't hate myself THAT much

@spky didn't mean to exclude net beans intentionally, I was just speaking of my own experiences.

@AngryDev thought you might've been serious there.
