CptFox16165yIf you want to see if a camelCase might seem awkward, snake_case it and check. user_name looks like a different concept from username, so the capital N is probably a bad idea :)

Skayo85685yusername
But only if you have no other entries like:
lastName
firstName
... etc ...
then it's userName -
@M1sf3t honestly, I avoid variable names where the word occurs in grammatical style guides ! It’s too much drama in the PR when the grammar police decide to review me.
“According to the style guides of “Get it Write”, IEEE, Webopedia, and the Associated Press, as well as the Merriam-Webster dictionary and the New Oxford American Dictionary, the proper spelling is e-mail. Some cite email as a possible alternative spelling.” http://tony.abou-assaleh.net/misc/... -
LMagnus20575y@Nanos depends on the language. If this was a C# public property, then it should be Pascal case.

@Nanos Totally understand... I used to support some old Telco mainframe apps written with COBOL! I don’t miss those days. Anymore “legacy” is older than 18 months, right ?
UserName or Username?
