@C0D4 this isn't an attack. Indians have really helped the world with those tutorials and they're really under-appreciated tbh.

@Quirinus because they aren't designed for you. They're designed for other indians. Granted they aren't top notch quality, but they're made for college kids for other college kids. English over here is different than the rest of the world.

Vast majority of indian devs are crap and thats common knowledge. Main reason being that they memorize everything and rarely think for themselves. If you watch their tutorials or read their medium articles usually you can find out that its a duplicate of some other tutorial quite easily. I had a couple colleagues in this startup and they told me that memorizing is more important than thinking for software devs in india. Their interviews are insane because they are being asked hundreds of questions. What is good is that they have hard working culture and their labour is cheap if you outsource. But damn I wish that they would start working smart instead of hard because when I get to work on outsourced projects done by them, I want to shoot myself in the foot

No. It's for the international audience. Don't get me wrong, it's not just Indians, most people suck at tutorials.

@Quirinus it's not "broken" it's different. Indian English evolved with a different grammar that others don't understand. A lot of people including myself and some incredibly smart people I know of, are capable of switching effortlessly between western English and Indian English.

It's also impossible to make an indian tutorial in a native language, because the country itself is more like the EU than a traditional country. Too many languages between the different regions. The south doesn't understand the north and the east is completely different than the west.

English is the only common language. People who've never been here think of it as broken. It's perfectly accurate. Just not by your rules. It's English with Indian elements in it and the guy speaking it is no less intelligent than anyone who speaks the Queen's English.

I'm not saying all have bad English, but the majority of those I saw do.

I don't see what India having multiple languages has to do with this. Europe has too, so what?

Also, considering it's India's official language, unlike most EU countries, this makes it even worse.

@Quirinus which part is so hard to comprehend to you? If your environment from childhood would be consisted mainly of broken english speaking people then u would grow up and be like them regardless you want it or no. Stop being so cynical mate. Even I was speaking much better when I was working in UK when talking with native speakers daily compared to when I was in Czech Republic and everyone had broken accents so I had to break my accent to make their understanding process easier lol.

@zemaitis yes exactly this. Even i can switch between normal English for my American clients and indian English for local clients.

Some of them caused me to graduate from college, they're not the best at speaking English I even have to repeat the videos to understand what they're saying, but they've tried their best.
