Maybe a good deal out of that is for disk caching? Linux will also seize a large part of the free RAM for caching, but free it once applications need it.
However, 4GB RAM was already on the low end 10 years ago, and you shouldn't go below 8 GB these days. -
NarkoCat2845yGet 16gb of ram, that's the only thing I can suggest. Maybe try replacing hdd with SSD that also boosts performance.

hinst12995yAs you can probably can see from your screenshot, at the top you have Antimalware Service Executable and something called "PC Doctor etc...". I recommend that you start with disabling these two services. Antimalware Service Executable is Windows Defender. So disable that (might be tricky. read articles on the internet on how to disable it). And uninstall "PC Doctor..." its probably not something you need. After you've done that, if you still dont have enough memory, you can think about what to do next.

It is well known that operating systems nowadays require at least 8gb to make ur pc run.

@theKarlisK it can be the issue as my laptop is working on 6th generation processor.

-pthread4395ymy friend also have 4gb laptop with windows pre-installed and he switched to Linux and now he is proudly running MATLAB in it. Just try in dual boot if you find performance difference than switch to it.

@-pthread already using, btw thanks for the advice. But I majorly use Adobe products, which has no support for Linux

@hinst running an Internet connected Windows device with no anti malware is asking to get scelrewed over, no matter how careful you are online.
One hijacked ad platform and you're getting drive by downloaded into crypto locker Hell. -
I've got an old netbook with 2gb RAM in it, surprisingly it still holds up fairly well. I'd take a long look and figure out which of those processes you can do without if I were you.

Windows 10 wants to ruin my life by consuming almost 70% of memory for itself from 4 gigs.
No application is running and still consuming that much of memory. Now I just hate the updates of windows 10 pro.
Any suggestions to get rid of this situation?
