I wasn't sure if they had. I downvoted as spam and score didn't move.

I figured I'd been blocked from marking as spam.

@dfox Looks like I also got hit by downvote ban. From what the others told, this is a one time mechanism and will not reset itself.

Given that downvoting was supposed to be THE regulating mechanism for trash posts and spam, I conclude that this is no longer intended to be that way.

I suggest to update the community FAQ in that downvoting only serves to hide stuff from one's own view, but does nothing for rant feed or so.

Yay I'm no longer in the minority, I guess.

@Jilano reporting doesn't seem to be very effective either from what I can see.
