Does anyone else know everyone on their notification list by [user]name? Like, glancing at the avatars and think "Hey {name}, what's new?" I'm often right about which comments/rants they've ++'d, too.

@Root Most of the time it's usually the same 10-20 people in my feeds so not hard to pick out the dots, every know and again you get new face show up.

As for our rutee, we do it for the laughs at the moment, there's nothing stopping him not posting half the stuff he does, but its in fun... unless I did have my way with him the other day 🤔 if he stopped being the persona we all know, I'm sure we'd adjust.

@Stuxnet I definitely pay more attention to the avatars than names, hence why I get easily confused when people change them! It can also be weird when someone has the same face than I, thinking "when the hell did I write that"...

Being a lurker mostly I do not get too many notifications but just looking at rants, I and I'd also say people in general do connect the users icons/usernames with a persona remembering their tech stacks, rants/stories(back story?) etc as this platform is fairly small and easy to feel familiarity with the community

i doubt you can remember who the hell i am outside a vague statement about the snippets of my rants you may remember reading

if you "can remember more" i can guarantee you went through my rants to make it seem so without actually being able to remember it all

you have it flipped there, but pretty close, yeah. i use non-pc words in abnormal ways in hopes that people realize they're just fucking words and have no meaning besides what's given (i use "gay" when "stupid" isn't enough but "retarded" is too much)
