C0D4669025y@NoMad sorry "tinder".
fill with current dating app.
Otherwise.. I'm that's some strange advertising you're getting there, unless the ad isn't targeted for muslims but just generically hitting everyone and anyone, -
NoMad136535y@PublicByte but whyyyy meeeee? And why repeatedly? I've clicked on hiding the ad multiple times and this time, I couldn't even remove the damn thing anymore. How many times should I vote for not wanting to see such ads? 😭😭😭
-
NoMad136535y@C0D4 idk it may be location-based. Like I know lots of students live in my area, and that "might" be a reason. But also, lots of Germans and I see no freaking ads from the schnitzel company so no idea.
-
The internet probably knows something about you that you ain't telling us. Maybe you are halal in the streets, haram in the sheets 😎
I'll see myself out. -
NoMad136535y@AleCx04 😂😂😂😂😂
Soooo I can be eaten and touched in streets but not in sheets? I beg to differ sir!
(wow, that^ even turned me on a bit) -
@rutee07 heard it in the military man and every time I remember it I can't stop laughing at it. Its just one of those jokes that get me every time lol
-
NoMad136535y@M1sf3t man, I'm just trying to find friends. Do I have to marry someone who can't drink, eat ham, or have sex with me while I'm on period to find a damn friend? Unacceptable!
-
@NoMad I might be having a stroke again, don't mind my words that much.
Basically whatever that piece of cloth hiding your hair. -
NoMad136535y@melezorus34 quick Google-fu proves me wrong. I have seen it before but for some reason forgot it entirely.
-
@NoMad there is always that stigma concerning friendships when they involve the opposite sex and it is quite annoying. I would say that cultural biases play a heavy role. Where I live, if you are a male and have a female friend, it is automatically assumed by a number of people that something must be going on.
At work I used to be real close to my previous manager, she was female and very attractive, around the same age as I am. Because we would spend much time working on projects directly related to one another everyone thought that we were having some secret relationship. I never liked the rumors because as flattering as they were, they would still just be lies that weren't true. As a male, you sometimes need to have a nice solid female friend, and vice versa, but people will always assume that some sort of sex exchange needs to happen for that. -
NoMad136535y@AleCx04 oh, that gets worse. When you think you and a male friend are just friends, but he blocks you once he gets into a relationship. 😒
-
NoMad136535y@rutee07 or he actually had feelings for me. Which is worse. But still, a jealous girlfriend should understand the bromance. Or so I wasn't worth him explaining that we're friends? Then I am right to feel back stabbed.
-
NoMad136535y^^ I disagree. If someone is so extremely jealous from the get go, you're better off letting them go. That level of insecurity never does anyone any good.
-
@NoMad yup. Last time that happened to me was some months ago. My previous manager and I were really close. She was a very attractive woman, she had a fiance and it was cool, we developed a close friendship because of the many projects that we did together, but I noticed certain things. Outside it would be 45 Celsius, 113 Fahrenheit, and she would refuse to let me drive her to where she needed to go on campus(I work at a huge fucking school) because she was afraid of rumors going out. So she would walk her pretty little butt wearing high heals on the heat and come back with blisters. After they got married (I was invited to the wedding) she completely and totally stopped talking to me by fb chat or regular messages, which is something she would normally do a lot during the week.
Dude probably had trust issues, and a small wee wee. -
NoMad136535y@rutee07 I still wouldn't hold anything against their partner tho. If my so-called friend can't sort his relationship and friendships separately, it's his fault. I know about half of these cases even their girl knew I could do better.
-
NoMad136535y@M1sf3t this is why relationships are a hassle for me. I can't be jealous for the life of me. I just know the fucking line. If the line is crossed, it's over. I don't accept a partner openly flirting just to make me jealous either. That definitely backfires.
-
NoMad136535y@M1sf3t it was funnier with Alabama accent tho.
But you do need to consider picking the international accent. (LA accent, basically) it's easier and works just about anywhere. -
kleopi8705y@NoMad its one you install around a corner via web (google it).
the one in the playstore is a fake -
@NoMad someone is using your network or account or a device that once was associated with your account? or fingerptinting just went sideways...

One of YouTube's known metics is ad watch time. If it allows you to skip the ad and you walk away to get a snack instead of skipping the ad, despite not clicking it, it will mark that as potentially interested. Even if you change tabs to check something real quick. You only had to watch it for 5 seconds, but you watched for a whole 7 SECONDS! obviously that one was more captivating for you.
Among other things of course. Advertising is one giant ruse. -
NoMad136535y@freddyjohn good to know. I'll direct my next rants about YouTube directly at you from now on then. Cheers!
-
@theKarlisK I don't believe so? But you might be seeing more unskippable ads if you aren't skipping skippable ads. It marks you as a person who watches ads. So it shows you more of them. And the more you don't skip, the more unskippable ones show up.
That said I'm not a YouTube dev, and I haven't peeked behind the curtain, this is what I've discovered from personal experience, articles, and other sources. Grain of salt. -
NoMad136535y@deadPix3l I don't think that's the logic. Otherwise and given the rate by which I skip ads by closing and reopening same videos, I should just not get ads at all.
-
@NoMad well obviously they can't stop showing you ads. They need to make money. Try it though. Take a week and just stop skipping ads. Change tabs for a second, look at Facebook, go get a soda. Let the ads play through. Especially the ones AFTER the video when you could totally just close the tab. Let it play.
In a week, you'll notice the amount of ads you see is significantly higher -
The other day I saw google ads showing for me because of someone else in my household... so if you are sharing your internet connection that might be it.

YouTube constantly shows me ads for marriage and dating apps for muslims.
... I just want to know the logic behind that. Neither am I a Muslim nor am I into marriage. If anything, I'm considered an abomination in Islam. (I know enough about main religions, ThankYouVeryMuch) You see, my conspiracy theory is that YouTube is trying to make me racist (or rather, religionist?) by showing me irrelevant ads on a constant basis to make me angry.
I'm onto you YouTube!!! 👀
